Former betterArts Resident Gemma Cooper-Novack To Host Valentine's Weekend Writing Retreat

Keep your Valentine’s Weekend Creative!

Are you a writer who loves another writer? A yogi wanting to try his hand at writing, a writer trying her hand at meditation? You and your partner should join us over Valentine’s weekend—these workshops are for you!

Discounts for Lovers—We’d Love to See You There!

  • Writing workshops exploring the creation of love scenes
  • Morning meditation practice
  • Afternoon yoga classes with partner yoga options
  • Meals included, served in-house

We wanted to explore how collaboration can support creativity, first with one another, and then with you, our prospective workshop guests. Along the way, our goal is to maximize pleasure, minimize stress, and maybe even cultivate a new kind of understanding - be it of oneself, one's lover, one's creativity, or some other.

Gemma Cooper-Novack is a widely published and produced playwright, fiction writer, poet, and cultural critic who trained at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has coached dozens of successful writers, from novelists to playwrights, middle schoolers to monks. Her unique system uses a structured process to support the development of the individual voice.  She visited the Better Farm campus in 2015 as a writer-in-residence.

Sarah-Doe Osborne has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2007. She works primarily with businesses, universities, and individuals. She values clarity, honesty, and connection above all else in the work she does.
