betterArts Presents Hike, Craft Beer Tasting March 5
/Join betterArts board members Justin Chirico and Matthew Tardif at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, for a hike around the Better Farm property followed by campfire and craft beer tasting.
Bring your own snowshoes (weather permitting!), or borrow at pair at the farm (rentals subject to availability). The hiking trail encompasses beautiful views of the area's pristine beauty under a cover of North Country snow. S'mores and hot cocoa around a campfire will be provided following the hike.
Afterwards, betterArts will host a two-flight craft beer tasting at Better Farm is $10 for those who register before Feb. 20, or $15 thereafter. Learn about the art of beer brewing and sample local beers from independent brewers. Locally sourced snacks and pairings will also be provided.
About the Hike
The North Country is deeply valued for recreation and environmental research. The area boasts quiet woodlands, rocky vistas, and peaceful, undeveloped shorelines. Tour the Better Farm campus, woods, and fields, while also seeing an area protected by the Indian River Lakes Conservancy.
About the Craft Beer Tasting
What you get:
- A flight of six craft beer samples
- Various food pairings (olives, seltzer water to cleanse palate, unsalted crackers to clean palate, mild/medium/strong cheeses—please let us know of dietary restrictions so we can accommodate you!)
- Information about each beer you're sampling (vintage, location, background)
